Lemberger/Blaufränkisch/or Blue Franc is a red wine with pronounced spicy characteristic. A favorite grape of the late Dr. Walter Clore (the father of Washington wine). The wine maker, Wade Wolfe, was inspired by his mentor to further peruse this grape and develop it into this single varietal red.
This wine is notable for its dark-berry flavors such as black cherry and red currant with gracious notes of spiciness. The Lemberger is racked with a delicate combination of new and seasoned American Oak for a total of 20 months. Only 48 cases were produced for this limited release.
